As a Director of Nursing - Emergency Department you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess. Job Overview Under general supervision of CNO, provides nursing leadership to the Emergency Department , including establishment and implementation of standards of care specific to those units. The Director is responsible to ensure compliance with EMTALA requirements in the ED. The director will participate in activities to improve outcomes of care for the patients served in the ED. Participates as an active member of the safety committee along with other key employees. Assists and works closely with emergency/disaster planning and development. Participates and coordinates education to staff and facility. Assists CNO and others with identification of needs, grant writing, policy development and the implementation process. What You Will Need Must be a graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Indiana. BSN or goal to achieve same is preferred. Two to five years of nursing experience as staff nurse, two years experience in management or supervision or two years experience in a position during which management ability has been demonstrated.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Nursing, Healthcare ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
