We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sanitation Supervisor to oversee the sanitation operations in our spirits manufacturing facility.
As the Sanitation Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing guidance to team members across the site.
Your role will be crucial in upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement and maintain sanitation procedures and protocols in accordance with industry best practices, company policies, and regulatory guidelines.
Coordinate and guide team members across various departments to ensure proper execution of sanitation activities, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, work areas, and other surfaces.
Provide training and instruction to team members on proper sanitation practices, ensuring that they understand and adhere to established standards.
Conduct regular inspections to assess cleanliness, identify potential hazards or areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, inspection reports, and documentation of cleaning supplies and chemicals used.
Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination of sanitation efforts while minimizing production downtime.
Monitor and manage inventory of sanitation supplies, ensuring an adequate stock of cleaning agents, personal protective equipment, and other related items.
Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements related to sanitation practices, and implement necessary updates and improvements.
Foster a culture of safety and compliance by promoting proper training, following safety protocols, and enforcing adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in food science, microbiology, biology, chemistry, and engineering or related field.
Or equivalent years of relatable work experience Proven experience in sanitation and cleaning procedures within a food manufacturing environment.
With at least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of sanitation regulations, food safety standards (e.
g.
, HACCP), and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and train team members across various departments.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Proficiency in using sanitation equipment, chemicals, and related tools.
Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production demands.
Physical stamina to perform duties that may involve standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
