Facility Information The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center is located on the former site of Camp Breckinridge, a
World War II and Korean War army training facility in northwest Kentucky. Our
center opened in 1965 as the Breckinridge Job Corps Center. The center name was
changed in 1980 to honor Earle C. Clements, a former governor and U.S. senator
of the state of Kentucky. The Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy is located in
Morganfield, KY and is the second largest Job Corps within the United
States. We have a little over a 1,000 students that attend classes on our
center.
Essential Functions Reports to the manager, career technical training of the designated school. Responsible for providing career technical training instruction to students in accordance with approved curricula. Provide students with basic direction, in compliance with government and management directives.
Provide student with career technical training instruction, direction and assistance in designated area of instruction.
Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the shop and classroom; on a routine basis, inquire if individual students need assistance.

Education and Experience High school diploma or its equivalent and certificate from a professional organization of culinary arts and two years experience. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency also required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
